I was honored to be asked to create a poster for International Clash Day, an annual celebration of the music and social values of The Clash, hosted by KEXP and radio stations all over the globe.
2019 marked the 40th anniversary of the release of “London Calling” so the design features nods to songs from the album (most notably, the song “Death or Glory“).
The poster started as a 2-color screen print on natural paper and was printed by Eric Carnell at Independence Printage in Seattle. The green was added by me after the fact to fix the fact that the band name was too hard to read.
